Trivia / Info:
- This is Beautiful World, as sung by Booji Boy. In concert Jerry usually starts the song, then Booji appears, sings the remaining verses and speaks his mind.
- Beautiful World was usually only performed this way, during the encore.
- Very rarely G.V.C., instead of Booji, sings Beautiful World all the way through in concert.
- In 2005 G.V.C. as "Jihad Jerry " performed Beautiful World with Booji's head on a pike. (One of Booji's many "deaths.")
Onstage Behavior:
- When performing the song, Booji wears a robe of some kind. Around the 1982 tour, he would wear one of the "flying spud" T-shirt design. In more recent shows, the robe has been yellow or red/pink with "Booji Boy" embroidered on the back.
- After the main lyrics end, Booji played a synth solo via a keyboard attached to his shoulders and gave his "We love you" speech (similar to live performances of The Words Get Stuck In My Throat). One notable exception is an occasion in 2004 when he gave a variation on the DEVO Island speech made infamous in In Heaven Everything Is Fine.
- During the "for you" lines, Booji would run around and point at random audience members.
Lyrics:
See Beautiful World.
