Trivia[]

  • This was DEVO's first single. Sales figures are unknown, and the band is conflicting on how well it sold.
  • The single was packaged in a triple-gatefold sleeve, hand assembled by the band themselves.
  • Stiff Records in the UK reissued the single in a variety of packagings, including the triple-gatefold, a standard picture sleeve, and a generic "Stiff Records" sleeve.
  • To differentiate them from other versions, the recordings of Jocko Homo and Mongoloid (Single Version) on this single are called the "Booji Boy version," referring to the Booji Boy Records label.
  • In 2010, WB released the Eno-produced album versions of "Mongoloid" and "Jocko Homo" packaged in a reproduction of the original Booji Boy gatefold single. ref::Devo-Obsesso
