“...We did it on a VAX computer at NYIT when there was no such thing as morphing. We just used an interpolation pattern and matted in the mouth - the moving singing Mark's mouth…" - Jerry (1993 video commentary track)[1]
"...I also worked with Devo, utilizing some of the earliest morphing software, I enjoyed connecting with musicians who were exploring new ideas and new technology." - Rebecca Allen[2]
General Boy announced that the "Are You Experienced" video had been released in November.[3] Mark said that it had been completed the night before it debuted on TV.

Trivia[]

The Fairlight CMI sampling synthesizer was used extensively by Mark on this album.
Zach was the stepson and then adopted son of Timothy Leary. [4]
Unlike oh, no! it's DEVO and Total Devo, Shout did not have a Virgin Records catalogue release number - the album was released around the globe by “the bunny”.[5][6]
Lyrics were included on a Shout poster.[7] The standard album release did not include printed lyrics. The 1984 release in Japan included translated lyrics and the 2008 CD box set release included transcribed lyrics printed in English and in Japanese, with some errors.
