Trivia / Info:
  • Later in 2003, DEVO performed an identical setlist during two festival appearances in Japan. DEVO’s tight playing enabled audio from this Tuesday, July 22 show to be used with video from the two touring festival shows on the DVD release Live In The Land Of The Rising Sun.[3][4]

Booji Boy's Basement has three versions of the soundboard audio - raw, no vocals, and the Bob 2 mix. The Bob 2 mixed and mastered version was used on the 2004 DVD and "...could be considered an unofficial live album..."
  • Rocker Bob 1 had a fair chance of finding a real tomato - the OC Fair 2003 theme was “Red, Ripe and Rockin’ – the Year of the Tomato".[5]
[The National Garden Bureau later declared 2011 the "Year of the Tomato".]

The 2003 fair's sandcastle included a bespectacled tomato holding a guitar and wearing a sand energy dome.[6]
  • 2003-07-21 DEVO had a dress rehearsal at "S.I.R. studios, Hollywood."[7]
  • Scott Stanton and Michael Pilmer "were recruited at the last minute by Jerry Casale to document the rehearsal on video and audio."[8]

"Our adult children, their friends and several cousins had fun at the Devo concert (a flashback to their high school days). In today’s troubled times, it was heartwarming to see people singing and dancing to the music."
